Interesting stuff, in particular the idea of not including a “In conclusion” style ending to your article, it makes sense yet I hadnt thought of it, possibly has contributed to my feeble returns so far from bum marketing. Cheers!

An attention grabbing headline is probably one of the most crucial eliments of the articl

It really is what piques your potential reader and hopefully customer’s imagination and gets them to click on your article

Do you think the “Top Ten” style headline is still as powerful as it was a few years ago?

I myself run screaming from them!

I agree regarding the headline, it is very important. I have done some of my own tests and learnt about something called EMV (emotional marketing value) if you search on google there are plenty of free tools on it. I operate http://www.turnkeysolutions.net and we create dating websites for people to promote free of charge, work at home mum etc, just by getting them to do more pr with good articles including relevent EMV we have see a good increase in the uptake of our sites.

I have used the resource box to push my site but I never thought about using it like this. I recently heard someone else say the resource box is almost as important as the headline. I’ll start using it for my articles.

    Thanks, Tom

Great information. With a great resource box, you can obtain a high clickthrough rate.
