How to Find a Niche

Bum Marketing is a step by step process and one of the key components is keyword research and niche selection. If you want to become a successful Bum Marketer, you absolutely NEED to know how to find low competition niches. However, simply identifying a relatively low competition niche which actually has a biting market, is not always easy.
If you’re just starting out, one of the easiest ways to start is to begin by brainstorming. What things are you most interested in, and/or have some knowledge of (your hobbies, etc). Write down everything you can think of that you have some knowledge or interest in. Focus on quantity rather than quality when brainstorming. You can edit your list later.
There’s no point trying to break into a topic you know nothing about, as you’ll end up spending too much time on research which is why you should start with something you know. Besides, when your niche is something you know about, it becomes much easier to find the perfect product to promote, and your passion will show through in your writing.
